About Us

Urban Building Workshop specializes in custom homes, major remodels, residential and commercial projects. We combine 25 years of expertise in architecture, real estate development and construction to help clients make smarter decisions.

UBW is led by principal Kevin Skiles, who holds an architecture degree from University of Michigan and a real estate finance masters from MIT. Kevin is a licensed architect and contractor, and is currently serving his third term as a local planning commissioner.

Kevin brings a unique level of construction knowledge to the design process. He is also skilled at navigating the permit process, with a rich understanding of planning and zoning guidelines in San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma.
