The design of this single-family home in Sonoma County resulted in net-zero energy efficiency, thanks to cutting-edge technology and building materials. Decks were integrated into the home’s floor plan and a flat portion of the lot maximized usable outdoor space, all giving access to canyon views overlooking Mark West Springs Creek. The large great room just off the kitchen features high ceilings and is flooded with light from clerestory windows. The primary suite is on its own level, tucked away as a private sanctuary from the rest of the home. This home also features a “suite” for the owner’s dogs, complete with its own wash station, deck and yard. UBW was the architect and builder for this net-zero energy efficient home.
