Sonoma, Quietwater 1

This ground-up rebuild of a fire-destroyed single-family home was completed in 2020 on a hilly, rural acreage overlooking Mark West Springs Creek. The home was designed to maximize the cross canyon views. Decks were integrated into the home’s floorplan, and a flat portion of the lot maximized usable outdoor space. The large great room just off the kitchen has high ceilings and is flooded with light from clerestory windows. The master suite is on its own level, tucked away as a private sanctuary from the rest of the home. This home also features a “master suite” for the owner’s dogs, complete with its own wash station, deck and yard. Cutting-edge technology was employed to maximize efficiency, bringing the home to near net-zero while also providing maximum ease and comfort. UBW was the architect and builder for the home.
